Wilderness First Aid Course offered at EKU

If you’re interested in gaining the skills and knowledge to administer wilderness first aid and become WFA certified or need to be recertified, we have an upcoming Wilderness First Aid in collaboration with the EKU Center for Wilderness and Outdoor Public Safety. This is a hybrid course with online content beginning in August (you can begin content learning by October 1st at the latest) and outdoor scenarios on Nov 2 at Maywoods Environmental and Educational Laboratory.

Wilderness first aid is the assessment and treatment of an ill or injured person in a remote environment where care by a health care professional and/or rapid transport are not readily available.
